Still nothing. Two pg tests and both were BFN. I keep waiting for AF, but nothing so far. I don't know or understand what is happening right now. I'm not sure where to get any answers either. Tomorrow will be exactly 3 weeks since I took the trigger shot, so I am definitely past my 2ww. I opted to not take another pg test this morning because I felt like I needed a day off from another BFN. Obviously, I can't help but hope that the tests are all wrong and this is actually my BFP. However, I think that the more realistic side of me knows that that's probably not true.
Have any of you heard of anything like this before? Clomid, HCG shot, progesterone capsules..... 19 dpo and still no AF but only BFNs...
I also feel like I'm terrified of my doctor right now because all of this is so expensive and I know that if I call, they'd probably just have me come in for more tests. I might as well wait until AF comes and then we can move on. But where is she??
Are you still taking the progesterone? If so, that is stopping you from getting your period. AF comes when progesterone levels drop off; therefore, if you are still taking progesterone capsules, your endometrium lining is still intact and is not shedding. If that isn't the case, then I am at a loss as to why you haven't gotten your period yet. I hope you get some answers soon!
ReplyDeleteI've always gotten AF while still on Prometrium (I did once make it to 20dpo before it started). I do know one person who didn't get a + on a pg urine test until her hcg was over 500. Honestly, I'd suggest going to the doc to get a beta (beta hcg, only produced by an embryo) test - my doc charges my insurance $100 for the test so I'd guess you'd pay less than that if you're OOP. If that's negative, stop progesterone at that point.
ReplyDeleteThank you guys for your comments! Both were very, very helpful. I am still taking Prometrium. My RE had originally said to call once I get my period or a positive pg test so I've been waiting for that. I thought that maybe the progesterone was affecting things, but my RE never mentioned anything about that.
ReplyDeleteHere's my plan - I'm gonna take another pg test tomorrow morning. Then, I'm gonna call my doctor tomorrow and see if I should come in for the beta test. I'll keep you posted.
I'm thinking it's the progesterone too. How are things looking today?
ReplyDeleteI'm 100% certain it's the progesterone. I did a little research and I was taking a pretty hefty dose every day. I took another pg test this morning and it is still a BFN. I called my RE and they said to stop taking the progesterone and call once AF starts. It looks like another round of
ReplyDeleteClomid is in my near future.
