My Story

Thanks for reading my blog.  It really means a lot to know that there are people out there going through a similar journey.  I appreciate any and all support.  Here's a brief synopsis of my journey so far:

Infertility:

• April 17, 2010 - Went off birth control
• July  9, 2010 - AF
• September 2010 - Had only 1 period since April, so I went to my primary care physician.  
• Had a ton of blood work done.  
• Was put on Vitamin D pills
• Was told to wait
• AF the next day... figures!
• November 2010 - Still no period.  Asked to be referred to an Ob/Gyn.
•  Ultrasound
• Diagnosed with PCOS
• Prescribed Metformin 1500mg/daily
• January 25, 2011 - AF
• January 31, 2011 - Ob/Gyn said he was certain that I was responding to the metformin so I should wait and I'd probably ovulate normally in Feb.
• March 2, 2011 - Referred to Reproductive Endocrinologist (I knew I hadn't ovulated and I was looking for answers)
• Diagnosed with Hypothalamic Amenorrhea
• March 3, 2011 - Started Clomid 50mg/ 5 days
• March 11, 2011 - Follicle 11mm
• March 14, 2011 - Follicle 17mm x 21mm!
• HCG injection
•  Prometrium capsules

Bulemia:

•  Battling with Bulimia since middle school. 
• I've been in therapy for over 10 years. 
• I have definitely made great strides in controlling my disordered eating, but things are pretty inconsistent.  Sometimes I feel like I'm in a good place and then the next day it's like I haven't learned anything.
